I’m Amina Ahmed (a.k.a. Ami, a nickname given to me by one of my best friends and one that I despised until I unconsciously named my blog after it).

I’m a very opinionated, Asian-Muslim, bit of a feminist, newly football loving, professional skateboarder-wannabe young woman.

Also a junk-eating, cat-loving, wannabe-DJ, nerdy, techie (or I like to think so), book worm.

Oh, and a trainee journalist – nearly forgot there.

It gets quite confusing when one minute I’m wearing colourful scarves and the next I’m emptying my cupboard of all items girly.

I’d love to be a sports or fashion journalist even though I know nothing about sport and I’m as fashionable as a rat.

I am a huge fan of Doctor Who, Sherlock, IT Crowd, Person of Interest, Orange is the New Black and Game of Thrones – insult these and you have insulted me.

My blog – I wish I had a special niche but I don’t – is about anything and everything. Prompts, features, news stories, reviews, rants; any subject that brings out an emotion in me is worth writing about. Of course, I have to make sure I don’t offend anyone before I’ve even started out as a journalist! Sigh.

But yes, I could go on forever so why not just follow me on Twitter and Instagram and get to know this insane girl better?
